Crosstown Delay In Your Way?
Here’s The Way To Go!
Tampa,
FL
-- Bay Area Commuter Services (BACS) executive director, Sandi
Moody, encourages commuters who rely on
the Lee Roy Selmon Crosstown
Expressway to consider ridesharing or taking the bus while repairs are made to
the structure. On Tuesday, April 13th
, a
portion of the expressway's elevated expansion collapsed resulting in the
temporary closure of the toll road causing major traffic delays.
“We may have a period of inconvenience for the next few weeks while repairs are
made. During that time commuters might
find that it is less stressful riding with another person rather than driving
alone through the affected areas of the Crosstown Expressway.
It certainly will help reduce congestion along that route if commuters took
this opportunity to carpool or use HARTline.” Moody encouraged the public to learn more
about their commute options by contacting BACS at (800) 998-RIDE for finding
carpooling or vanpooling partners, or HARTline at
(813) 254-HART for route and rate information in Hillsborough
County.

and services call 800-998-RIDE or visit them online at www.tampabayrideshare.org.
